A leading organization is hiring a Senior Accountant (Chartered Accountant) for a full-time, on-site position in the UAE. This role is ideal for qualified CA professionals with strong post-qualification experience in accounting, financial reporting, and core finance operations.
Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to handle complex financial data with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting and Reporting
You will prepare and review financial statements, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Month-End and Year-End Closing
You will manage closing activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports within deadlines.
General Ledger Management
You will oversee general ledger activities, ensure correct posting of transactions, and maintain ledger accuracy.
Financial Analysis and Review
You will analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide insights to support management decision-making.
Audit Support
You will support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
Compliance and Controls
You will ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory
• 4–8 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end closing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• UAE experience is an advantage, but home country experience is also acceptable
