An educational institution in Dubai is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for entry-level accounting professionals who want to build strong foundational experience in accounting within the education sector.

Role Overview

The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain financial records, assist with transaction processing, and contribute to accurate financial reporting for school operations. This role offers strong exposure to educational accounting processes, including student fees, supplier invoices, and general ledger support.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger Support and Transaction Recording

You will assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions under supervision, ensuring proper classification, and supporting monthly reconciliations. You will help identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial records.

Student Fees and Tuition Receivables

You will support student fee processing by recording tuition payments, maintaining student account records, and assisting with follow-ups on outstanding fees. You will also help prepare fee collection reports and ensure accurate receivable tracking.

Educational Supplier Invoice Processing

You will process supplier invoices by verifying accuracy, organizing documentation, and maintaining proper records. You will support vendor file management and assist in payment processing for educational supplies and services.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Good MS Excel and data entry skills
• Willingness to learn and develop accounting skills
• Prior internship or entry-level experience is an advantage
• Interest in the education sector is a plus
