A leading manufacturing organization is hiring an Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounting for a full-time, on-site position in Dubai. This role is ideal for experienced finance professionals with strong manufacturing industry expertise, UAE experience, and the ability to manage financial reporting, controls, budgeting, and compliance within a fast-paced environment.
Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounting will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, supporting financial planning activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal controls, and managing reporting requirements. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience within manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Accounting Management
You will oversee financial reporting processes, maintain accurate accounting records, prepare management reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
Budgeting and Financial Planning
You will support budgeting and forecasting activities, analyze financial performance, monitor variances, and contribute to strategic financial planning initiatives.
Cost Analysis and Financial Controls
You will perform cost analysis, strengthen internal controls, monitor manufacturing costs, and support initiatives that improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Reconciliations and Compliance Management
You will manage account reconciliations, ensure compliance with IFRS requirements, maintain financial controls, and support statutory and regulatory obligations.
Audit Coordination and Support
You will coordinate internal and external audits, prepare supporting documentation, address audit findings, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
ERP Systems and Financial Operations
You will utilize ERP systems, preferably SAP, to manage financial information, streamline reporting processes, and support data-driven decision-making.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ACCA, CA, or CPA qualification is mandatory
• 5–8 years of relevant Finance & Accounting experience
• Prior UAE experience is mandatory
• Experience within cable manufacturing or metal manufacturing industries is required
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial controls
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, cost analysis, reconciliations, audits, and compliance
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in large manufacturing organizations is preferred
• Exposure to Big 4 audit firms is an advantage
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
