A leading real estate development company is hiring an experienced Receivables Accountant for a full-time, on-site position in Business Bay, Dubai. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with strong UAE experience in real estate or construction, and solid expertise in managing the full receivables cycle.
Role Overview
The Receivables Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the complete accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, credit control, and reconciliations. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage client relationships, and hands-on experience in AR processes within a fast-paced real estate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receivables Management and Invoicing
You will manage the full receivables cycle including raising invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring accurate recording of customer transactions in compliance with company policies and UAE accounting standards.
Collections and Credit Control
You will follow up on outstanding payments, manage credit control processes, maintain AR aging reports, and ensure timely collections from clients while minimizing overdue balances.
Account Reconciliations and Dispute Resolution
You will reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing or payment issues in coordination with internal departments and clients.
Reporting and Financial Analysis
You will prepare AR aging reports, support cash flow analysis, and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to receivables performance.
Month-End and Year-End Closing Support
You will support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensure accuracy of receivables records, and assist with audit requirements and documentation.
Stakeholder Coordination
You will liaise with clients, project teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth communication and timely collections across all projects.
Job Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience with focus on receivables in the UAE
• Experience in real estate development or construction industry preferred
• Professional qualification (CA, CMA, CPA, or ACCA) required
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and IFRS
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
